Falls............. |
We welcome you
to the Village of Highland Falls’ Web Site;
we are a community with an abundance of
history. The majesty of the Storm King
Mountains, State Parks and the beauty of the
Hudson River surround us. Our scenic beauty
is drawn from the hills, the Bear Mountain State
Park and the United States Military Academy.
Nearly four thousand residents live in our
village, which was incorporated in 1906.
Our history, dating from pre-Revolutionary
times, provides our visitors and residents
with an ongoing panorama of our heritage and
our place in the founding of our nation.
Highland Falls is blessed with many historic
homes, buildings and churches located in the
historic district. There is a downtown
business district with many historic shops
and fine eateries.
Highland Falls has many special events
throughout the year. Our 4th of July
festivities draw thousands of people. It is
a fun-filled 2-day celebration with bed
races, 5K race, parade and fireworks. Our
Fall Foliage Festival is one of the best in
the Hudson Valley.
Nothing makes the Village of Highland Falls
more of a treasure than its people. No
matter how long a person has lived in
Highland Falls, we all share that small-town
feeling of togetherness. The volunteerism,
historic pride and congeniality make
Highland Falls a truly unique place.
